A paralegal is a licensed legal professional in Ontario, regulated by the Law Society of Ontario, who can provide legal services independently. At Eastside Legal, our paralegal works directly with clients—from preparing documents to representing you at courts, tribunals, and other legal proceedings. Eastside will guide you through the process in a clear and approachable way, so you always know what to expect.
-
You can contact Eastside any time, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., by phone, email, or through the website’s contact form. Eastside Legal offers a free 25-minute consultation to discuss your matter, and will work with you to schedule it at a convenient time. If we determine that we can assist you, we’ll move forward together. Please note that a paralegal-client relationship is only established once it is agreed to provide services for your matter.

The fees vary depending on the type and complexity of the service you require. Eastside Legal will always provide transparent pricing and explain any costs before starting work, so you always know what to expect. Some matters may require a retainer, which is applied to your fees as work progresses.
-
Once work has begun on your matter, you can reach your paralegal or notary by phone or email during business hours. We are available to answer questions, provide guidance, and keep you updated on the progress of your matter. Your licensed paralegal, or notary, will be your main point of contact and will ensure you receive timely updates every step of the way.
-
The length of a matter depends on its type and complexity. Some processes are influenced by external organizations, tribunals, or courts, so timing can vary.
